Rome’n Chariot

10 Jun

Rome’n Chariot is a new gourmet food truck to hit the streets of Toronto. The truck serves traditional Italian fare with delicious recipes from the owners Nonna. I hunted down the truck at Scadding Court’s Market 707.

The Rome’n Chariot truck is like no other in the city. The truck is over the top Italiano with a display window of the great dishes they have to offer. Customers had the option of eggplant, veal, or meatball sandwich.

I ordered the EggPlant slider. The slider consisted of  breaded eggplant with marinara sauce, parmigano cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic aioli all on a soft roll. The slider was fantastic. The eggplant was crispy  and the bun was soft and moist. I was happily covered in warm savory marinara sauce while eating this.

I could tell a lot of love was put into this little sandwich, probably just like Nonna’s.
